Kellenberger Library

About the Kellenberger Library

The Kellenberger Library is home to over 74,000 books and media, including special collections of rare Bibles, hymnals, denominational materials relating to the Disciples of Christ, the William E. Paul collection of English-language Bibles, the Kendall collection of children’s literature, and many other useful books, CDs, DVDs, and specialty items. An array of online resources (ebooks, full-text and citation journal articles, newspapers, etc.) support all areas of the curriculum. The friendly staff loves to help people solve their information needs. The library first opened its doors in 1895 with the establishment of the school’s predecessor institution, Eugene Divinity School. The present library building, which was opened in 1957, was remodeled in 1995 and provides facilities for research, technology, and study in a comfortable “living room” atmosphere.
