About the Kellenberger Library
The Kellenberger Library is home to over 74,000 books and media, including special collections of rare bibles, hymnals, denominational materials relating to the Disciples of Christ, the William E. Paul collection of English-language bibles, the Kendall collection of children’s literature, and many other useful books, CDs, DVDs, and specialty items. An array of online resources (ebooks, full-text and citation journal articles, newspapers, etc.) support all areas of the curriculum. The friendly staff loves to help people solve their information needs. The library first opened its doors in 1895 with the establishment of the school’s predecessor institution, Eugene Divinity School. The present library building, which was opened in 1957, was remodeled in 1995 and provides facilities for research, technology and study in a comfortable “living room” atmosphere.

Inter-Library Loan (Ill) During Covid-19:
Many libraries in Oregon and across the United States are closed right now, and this makes it hard to fulfill Inter-Library Loan requests for physical items at this time. Please try to meet your research needs by using Bushnell’s print and electronic collections before borrowing through ILL. Journal articles not in our collection can be requested as you normally would, as many come in electronic formats. If you find you still need to request a physical item, do so, but keep in mind it could take longer or we might not be able to get it. If you have another library’s book out that is due, you can request a renewal (email@example.com) or return it in the Bushnell book drop, or mail it to the Bushnell address above.
