Dr. Roux joined the Bushnell community in 2023. She was the Dean and Professor at the University of North Dakota College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines from 2014 – 2018. Her nursing leadership experience also includes previous positions as Interim Dean and Associate Dean. Dr. Roux maintains clinical expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Maternal Child Health. Her teaching experiences include women’s health, research, and global health courses. Her program of research is on Inner Strength in women living with chronic health conditions such as breast cancer and heart disease. Outcomes of her research studies are the middle range theory on Inner Strength in Women and an instrument, Inner Strength Questionnaire (ISQ). Dr. Roux is on the editorial board of the Canadian Journal of Nursing Research.
Dr. Roux enjoys travel in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. She taught a global health course in England during summers 2019 and 2022. Dr. Roux has been blessed with a supportive family who like to join her travel adventures.
