Transferring to Bushnell
At Bushnell, we make transferring seamless. You’ve worked hard to earn your college credits, and you deserve to keep them. That’s why we accept transfer coursework no matter how old. You have two easy options:
1. Apply and send your official transcripts: Once you’re admitted, we’ll provide an official transfer credit evaluation.
2. Request a free, unofficial transfer credit evaluation: Complete this form and we’ll review your unofficial transcripts to show how your previous coursework may transfer, no application required.
AM I A TRANSFER?
- Have you graduated from high school?
- Have you attended a college/university after high school graduation?
If you’ve answered yes to those two questions, you’re a transfer student.
College credit earned while in high school (e.g., Running Start, College in the High School, etc.) does not place you in the “transfer student” category. If you’re not a transfer student, you will apply as a first-year student. But even as a first-year, you may still be able to bring in college credit to Bushnell.

AAOT & ASOT Degrees
The Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer degree (AAOT) or Associate of Science Oregon Transfer (ASOT) degrees satisfy all Bushnell University general education requirements with the exception of Bible and Christian Theology requirements as well as any prerequisites needed for a major. In some cases, courses completed for the AAOT or ASOT degrees can also count toward degree requirements in the student’s major.

Steps to Apply
Step 1 – Complete Online Application
Fill out, verify, and submit your application. Did we mention Bushnell’s online application is free?
Step 2 – Submit College Transcripts
Official college transcripts must be requested by you and sent directly from the requested institution to Bushnell University.

Once Your Application is Complete
Step 1 – File Fafsa
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after December 1. Bushnell’s School Code 003208.
Step 2 – Visit Campus
Visiting a college is an important step in your decision. Explore the many different visit experiences Bushnell has to offer.
If you visit Bushnell, which includes our virtual visit and informational sessions, you will qualify for a $1,000 scholarship that will be applied towards your first-year tuition!
Step 3 – Submit Enrollment Deposit
Reserve your place at Bushnell by depositing as soon as possible. Once you deposit, you will be able to register for classes and receive your housing assignment. All enrollment deposits are refundable prior to May 1 for Fall enrollment and December 1 for Spring enrollment.
Step 4 – Review Financial Aid Package
Your financial aid package will arrive by mail after you’ve been admitted to Bushnell and have completed your FAFSA. If you do not plan to submit the FAFSA please let your admissions counselor know. It will include any institutional scholarships you have received as well as any need-based aid you qualify for. Don’t forget about outside scholarship opportunities – these can significantly lower your out of pocket cost.

Step 5 – Review Transcript Evaluation
When you apply and send in your transcripts, we’ll perform a transcript evaluation, free of charge, to show you how your previous coursework transfers. Shortly after completing your application, we’ll provide you with a summary of your evaluation. This is the best way to find out how your credits will apply toward your Bushnell degree requirements.

Bushnell accepts applications and deposits after the application deadlines listed above. Students applying early action will receive early notification of admission decision and priority status for financial aid and registration.

Request an Unofficial Transcript Evaluation
Accepted CREDITS
Bushnell University accepts transferable credits from regionally accredited institutions, work or life experience through the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), military training, and certifications approved by the American Council on Education (ACE). Credit may also be awarded for CLEP exams, AP exams with a score of three or higher, and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses.
