Study Abroad Update: Summer 2022
For 2022, two Faculty Led Study Abroad programs were planned, one in Mexico and the other in England/Ireland. In February 2022, it was determined that the England/Ireland trip would not be able to continue, but the Mexico trip was able to move forward. Participants departed on May 16, 2022 for Queretaro, Mexico. The decision to move forward with this trip was made carefully with the trip leaders and in-country partners. The trip leaders were able to put precautions in place to prioritize the safety of participants and the local people including masking, testing and access to quality medical care.
“The highlight of my trip to Costa Rica was meeting locals around town and at different churches, and staying in touch with them even now. Through study abroad I learned that I’m capable of a lot more than I thought!”
