Public Health
MAJOR
Bushnell University’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health prepares you to address complex health challenges through prevention, policy, and community-based solutions. Grounded in Christian leadership, ethics, and service, the program integrates scientific analysis, social understanding, and applied research to equip you for meaningful impact in public health systems at the local, national, and global levels.
You will develop the skills to analyze health data, evaluate public policy, and design evidence-based strategies that promote human health, prolong life, and prevent disease across diverse populations.
Why Choose Bushnell?
The Public Health program at Bushnell University is designed to meet the demands of today’s public health workforce, which seeks graduates who are analytically skilled, data-informed, and systems-oriented. Through a curriculum developed in partnership with Rize Education, you’ll gain applied experience with epidemiological analysis, health systems evaluation, and policy-focused research while developing a comprehensive understanding of disease prevention, population health, and community-based interventions.
You will complete both a supervised public health internship and a capstone experience that integrates research, policy analysis, and applied problem-solving to address contemporary public health challenges. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to think critically, communicate effectively, and apply ethical, evidence-based decision-making in public health and healthcare settings.
