Due to a significant decrease in cases reported and low web traffic to this page, we are no longer updating this chart. The university continues to strongly encourage students to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and booster to reduce the risk of serious illness.

Notes:

May 12-18: This week, two employees reported positive cases. An additional two employees had positive cases earlier in May that were not reported the week they occurred but are included in Monthly data. NOTE: Individuals exposed to COVID-19 are not required to quarantine by the state of Oregon, so no quarantines will be reported moving forward.

April 14-20: This week, four students reported new positive cases and were isolated. NOTE: Individuals exposed to COVID-19 are not required to quarantine by the state of Oregon, so no quarantines will be reported moving forward.

February 17-April 13: No cases were reported during these dates.

February 10-16: This week, we had 12 new positive cases and 2 people that remained isolated after testing positive last week for a total of 14 active positive cases. 13 individuals were quarantined this week as a close contact of a positive case or while awaiting test results. NOTE: quarantined and isolated individuals are tracked for at least 10 days which includes quarantine/isolation days and days when they must be masked everywhere around others.

February 3-9: This week, we had 3 new positive cases and 7 people that remained isolated after testing positive last week for a total of 10 active positive cases. 7 individuals were quarantined this week as a close contact of a positive case or while awaiting test results. NOTE: quarantined and isolated individuals are tracked for at least 10 days which includes quarantine/isolation days and days when they must be masked everywhere around others.

January 27-February 2: This week, we had 7 new positive cases and 21 people that remained isolated after testing positive last week for a total of 28 active positive cases. 29 individuals were quarantined this week as a close contact of a positive case or while awaiting test results. NOTE: quarantined and isolated individuals are tracked for at least 10 days which includes quarantine/isolation days and days when they must be masked everywhere around others.

January 20-26: This week, we had 16 new positive cases and 27 people that remained isolated after testing positive last week for a total of 43 active positive cases. 34 individuals were quarantined this week as a close contact of a positive case or while awaiting test results. NOTE: quarantined and isolated individuals are tracked for at least 10 days which includes quarantine/isolation days and days when they must be masked everywhere around others.

January 13-19: this week, we had 38 new positive cases and 18 people that remained isolated after testing positive last week for a total of 56 active positive cases. 23 individuals were quarantined this week as a close contact of a positive case or while awaiting test results. NOTE: quarantined and isolated individuals are tracked for at least 10 days which includes quarantine/isolation days and days when they must be masked everywhere around others.

January 6-12: This week is the start of our Spring Semester. Some cases listed are students who were delayed in their return to campus and are quarantined or isolated at home. This week, we had 24 positive cases. Of these, 14 were residential, 6 were commuters, 2 were graduate students and 2 were employees. An additional 37 people were quarantined this week: 13 residents, 13 commuters, 1 grad student and 10 employees. Quarantined people were awaiting test results or a close contact of a positive case.

November 24-December 1: This week, one employee tested positive and was isolated. Ten residential students and three commuters were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

November 18-24: This week, no new positive cases were identified. Four residential students and three commuters were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

November 11-17: This week, 1 volunteer tested positive and was included in employee counts. They are isolated off campus. Four residential students and 4 commuters were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

November 4-10: this week, one commuter student remained isolated from a previous week.

October 27-November 3: This week, two residents and one commuter student tested positive and were isolated. Seven residents and two commuters remained isolated from a previous week. Seven residents and seven commuters were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case. Nov 4-10: This week, one commuter student remained isolated from a previous week.

October 21-27: This week, 6 new positive residential cases and 2 commuter cases were identified. An additional 3 residents remained isolated from previous weeks. Twelve residents, seven commuters and one graduate student were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

October 14-20: This week, 3 new positive residential cases were identified. An additional two residents and two commuters remained isolated from previous weeks. Eleven residents and five commuters were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

October 7-13: This week, 3 new positive residential cases were identified. Four residents, five commuters and one employee remained isolated from previous weeks. Additionally, 26 residents and 7 commuters were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

September 20-October 6: This week, 10 positive cases were identified including five commuters, four residents and an employee. All positive cases are isolated. Additionally, 19 residents and 6 commuters were quarantined due to sickness, while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

September 23-29: No new positive cases were identified this week. One residential student was quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

September 16-22: One commuter student and one employee tested positive this week. They are both isolated off campus. One additional commuter student was quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

September 9-15: No new positive cases were identified this week. Two employees remained isolated from previous weeks. Two residential students, four commuters and one graduate student were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

September 2-8: One employee tested positive this week and is isolated. One residential student, one commuter student and one employee remained isolated from last week. One residential student, one commuter student and two graduate students were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

August 26-September 1: One employee tested positive this week and is isolated. Three residential students, two commuter students and one employee remained isolated from last week. Nine residential students, two commuter students and one graduate student were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

August 19-24: Two commuter students, three residential students and one employee tested positive this week. One additional employee remained isolated from last week. January 28-February 3: One commuter and one graduate student tested positive this week and were isolated. Thirteen residential and three commuter students were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

January 21-27: No new positive cases were identified this week. Two residential students who tested positive previously remained isolated. Fifteen residential, one commuter student and two employees were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

January 14-20: Two residential students tested positive and were isolated. An additional two commuter students remained isolated after testing positive last week. Sixteen residential and two commuter students were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

January 7-13: Four commuter students were isolated this week with positive test results. One residential student was isolated with COVID-19 symptoms, but has not yet received a test. Three additional commuter students and six residential students were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case. None of the quarantined residential students returned to their Bushnell residence after the recent break: they are all quarantined at home until cleared to return to campus.

December 31-January 6, 2021: Bushnell University re-opened on January 4th for employees. No new cases were reported for employees. Students return to residence January 9th and classes resume January 11th. Student cases will be reported once the Spring 2021 semester begins.

December 24-30: Bushnell University was closed Dec 25-30, so no new updates were available.

December 17-23: This week, no new positive cases were identified. Two commuter students were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case. The University is closed Dec 24-Jan 4 and the dashboard will be updated on January 6.

December 10-16: This week included the end of the fall academic term. Classes will resume on January 11, 2021. Case data during the next few weeks may be limited. This week, one commuter student tested positive and was isolated. Three residential students, five commuter students and three employees were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

December 3-9: This week, one residential student tested positive and was isolated. Three additional residential students, six commuter students and three employees were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

November 26-December 2: This week, one graduate student previously quarantined tested positive. That student, along with two positive cases from last week remained isolated while recovering at home. One residential student is quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

November 19-25: One online student and one commuter student tested positive this week and were isolated.  Six residential students, one commuter student and one graduate student were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

November 12-18: No new positive cases were identified this week. One employee and one student who tested positive previously remained isolated. Eleven residential students, seven commuter students and four employees were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case. One unreported positive employee case from a previous week has been added to the total case counts.

November 5-11: One new employee and one commuter student tested positive this week and are isolated. The employee who tested positive last week remains isolated. Seven residential students, five commuter students and four employees were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

October 29-November 4: One employee tested positive this week and is isolated. Three residential students, two commuter students and five employees were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

October 22-28: No new positive cases were identified this week. One isolated and sixteen quarantined students from last week were cleared to return on Oct 28. One new residential student and one new commuter student were quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.

October 15-21: No new positive cases were identified this week. Two positive cases from last week remain in isolation. Eight residential students and eight commuter students are quarantined while awaiting test results or as a close contact of a positive case.
