On Friday, September 5, we held our 31st Annual Beacon Classic Golf Tournament at the picturesque Pine Ridge Golf Club! All proceeds from the tournament go directly to the Beacon Fund for Student Scholarships. Grabbing a slice with the President! 🍕 Students had the chance to join President Womack in his office on the 3rd floor of the newly renovated Goodrich Hall for great conversation and great pizza. From first-week highlights to future hopes, we loved hearing what our Beacons are looking forward to this year!

History in the making! At our 130-Year Anniversary Convocation Chapel, President Joseph Womack announced the largest single expansion in Bushnell University’s 130-year history! 🎉 Bushnell is acquiring two former PeaceHealth University District buildings, adding 125,000 sq. ft. of academic space to its campus. The pending acquisition, the single largest in Bushnell’s history, will dramatically expand the College of Health Professions and position the University to help meet Oregon’s urgent healthcare workforce needs. “This significant property acquisition ensures the future growth of Bushnell University well into the next decade,” said Dr. Womack. “Our partnership with PeaceHealth has been important to the University for a century, therefore we believe the strategic use of this space to expand the College of Health Professions aligns with our shared commitment to the health and well being of our community.” The acquisition of the former PeaceHealth property will allow the University to: ✅ Seek expanded enrollment in its nursing program to address the state’s critical shortage of nurses ✅ Grow the number of graduates in clinical mental health counseling, where Bushnell already provides Oregon’s largest pipeline ✅ Launch new programs to support both behavioral and physical health needs The legacy of Bushnell continues—preparing graduates to serve with wisdom, faith, and service for generations to come. Today we celebrated the official ribbon cutting for Goodrich Hall and the Donna Racine Pomajevich Bell Tower at our 130-Year Anniversary Convocation Chapel! 🙌   With worship and words of affirmation reflecting on the storied history of Bushnell University, we marked the return of our historic administration building.   Now officially reopened, Goodrich Hall features six modern classrooms for our students and serves as the new home for the Office of the President and University Advancement.   Adjoined by the Donna Racine Pomajevich Bell Tower, the newly constructed tower includes restrooms on each floor, an elevator for ADA accessibility, and is topped with handcrafted bells and a cross proclaiming our Christian faith.   We are incredibly thankful for all who joined us to celebrate this monumental day for Bushnell University, and for everyone who had a hand in bringing this incredible project to life.
