  • For Mariah Anderson, a spring semester internship brought hands-on experience in physical therapy and affirmed her sense of calling to the field.   As a senior exercise science major, Mariah spent her internship with @healingmotionpt working alongside professionals like Dr. Michelle, where she observed patient care firsthand, learned to evaluate injuries, and saw how trust and empathy are vital to the healing process.   Reflecting on her experience, Mariah stated she loved the atmosphere and that her experiences helped her grow in confidence and build technical and interpersonal skills. Her time working with a variety of patients prepared her for a future of meaningful service in health care with not just athletes, but people from all walks of life.   To fellow students considering an internship, Mariah offered this advice: “Even if it doesn’t directly apply to what your major is, do the internship.   • We had the pleasure of fishing on the McKenzie River with our very own Dr. Pete Diffenderfer and it was not a disappointment! He pulled in tons of rainbow trout, told us about his biggest catch ever, and dropped some gems about how being in nature helps us to connect with God and His creation.
