  • Senior biology major Annika Poet spent her fall semester turning her passion into purpose at Creswell Veterinary Hospital. 🐾

From assisting in exams and surgeries to learning from expert mentors, Annika gained hands-on experience caring for a wide range of patients, including opportunities to pursue her passion for working with rabbits.

The outside the classroom skills she developed, along with meaningful moments seeing the impact of her work on both animals and clients, reinforced her desire to pursue advanced studies in veterinary medicine and a future career in the field.

Annika encourages students that are preparing for their internships to take full advantage of the opportunities and to actively invest in the experience. “The value of an internship is honestly what you put into it,” she said. “There are a lot of opportunities presented to students, but it’s so personalized. You need to put value in it; otherwise, you’re not going to get out what you think you will.”

Great work, Annika! 👏

  • Turkey is a Thanksgiving staple for many, but is heating it last minute in the microwave a valid option? 🍗

Watch as our Coordinator for Marketing, Nick, seeks out answers from trustworthy individuals around campus and encounters some confused, concerned, and comical responses.

Note: We strongly encourage not putting whole turkeys or tin foil into microwave appliances. Stay safe!

We've had a big year, and we have a lot to be thankful for! From celebrating 130 years of God’s faithfulness, to welcoming our newest Beacons at Orientation, to reopening Goodrich Hall, to being honored as the NAIA National School of Character, and much, much more, this year has reminded us just how deeply God provides.
