1950s

Les Peterson ’59 is a retired minister, chaplain, and social worker. He retired from his position with the State of Oregon, Senior and Disabled Services in 2002.

Deanna Peterson (’58 – ’60) has retired from her position as Adjunct English Professor from Chemeketa Community College (OR) since 2002.

1960s

Allan Wilson ’61 is a retired pastor, social worker, and paper distributor. He is also currently writing his memoirs for his nine year-old grandson.

Gordon Read ’62 is a retired Captain and Chaplain Corps of the U.S. Navy. He and his wife Znette (Baker) Read ’63 live in Hamilton, Montana.

Tom Woodruff ’66 is working as a medicare insurance broker. He and his wife, Judy, reside in Tigard, Oregon.

Jerry Willett ’68 is working as a custodian at the University of Oregon and volunteers for Lane County Against Human Trafficking.

Valerie (Kaeding) Castle ’69 is a retired district manager from the Social Security Administration, U.S. Government. She and husband Frank Castle ’57 live in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

1970s

Rev. Dr. Philip Hartling ’72 is on ministry staff at Community Christian Church. His wife, Marilee (Owens) Hartling ’72 is a RN, MFT, and Owner/Director of Early Childhood Development Services. They make their home in Hacienda Heights, California.

T. Alger Greenhoot (’70 -’72) is writing for Forrest Press. He is also a member of Northwestern Christian Church in “The Motor City” of Detroit, Michigan.

Barbara (Burlie) Cunningham ’74 is retired from a life of ministry and resides in Ithaca, New York. She served on church conference staffs in Washington, North Idaho, and Southern California. She also served First Community Church as Minister of Pastoral Care from 1994-2005.

Curt Wells ’74 is working as an Account Executive at the Technology Integration Group. He currently resides in San Diego, California.

Gary Graff ’74 has retired from his position as Adaptive Technology Technician in the Sonoma County Office of Education. He writes and publishes books on theology and contemporary issues.

Steven Martin ’75 is a Regional Minister at a Christian Church in Kansas. His wife Debra (Smith) Martin ’77 is working as a Reading Specialist through Topeka Public Schools at Jardine Middle School.

Denise (Goodwin) Doty ’76 is working as an Accounts Payable Supervisor at Cascade Management Inc. Her husband Rev. Loren Doty ’77 continues to serve as pastor of Tualatin Hills Christian Church in Tualatin, Oregon.

Dr. Gary Railsback ’76 is teaching full-time online for the doctoral program at Arkansas State University. He continues to reside in Oregon and recently completed his third master’s degree (in psychology) from Los Angeles Pacific University.

Daniel Brunner ’77 is entering his 26th year as a professor of Christian History and Formation at Portland Seminary of George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.

Greg Ishmael ’78 is working as a Senior Trainer for the Global Training Network/Global Justice Mission. He lives with his wife in the Seattle, Washington area.

Steven Linscome ’78 is working for Lowe’s Corporation in Lodi, California.

Patricia Osborne ’78 is working as a School Supplies Buyer at the University of Oregon Duck Store in Eugene, Oregon.

Ronald C. Greene ’78 retired in May of 2020 from an 18 year pastorate with the Central Christian Church of Great Falls, Montana after 42 years as a minister with the Disciples of Christ. Now making his home in rural Lincoln County, WA. Currently serving as Interim Minister for the United Church of Moscow, ID and working part-time as an apprentice wine steward.

Steven Nokes ’79 is working as a Fund Drive Accountant at the Catholic Diocese of Spokane.

1980s

Rev. James Osborne ’80 celebrated 30 years of ordained ministry with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in October 2019. He has served churches in Oregon, Texas, and Alabama. He is currently pastor of Allison Park Christian Church in Eugene, Oregon where he has served nine years.

David Van Wormer ’80 is working as a Chaplain for Serenity Hospice in Eugene, Oregon.

Donald Clemson ’82 works through the Hillsboro (OR) School District as an Educator.

Bill Lee ’83 has retired from his position of Funeral Director at Mission Mortuary. He resides in Pacific Grove, California.

Robert Young ’83 is the owner and president of the company FIFO Networks and lives in Renton, Washington.

Rev. Alan Gray ’84 is a pastor at Fairview Christian Church. He and his wife live in Middletown, Virginia.

Dr. Jon Berquist ’85 is a Professor at Claremont School of Theology and resides in San Bernadino, California.

Traci (Bradley) Smith ’85 is a real estate broker with Equinox Real Estate in Eugene, Oregon.

Stewart Fowler ’87 was recently appointed Reverend at Calapooia Free Methodist Church for his 28th anniversary as a Senior Pastor. He lives in Sutherlin, Oregon.

Vance Kirklin ’87 is an area director in the Program Management Office for St. Luke’s Health System. He and his family live in Boise, Idaho.

Melody (Luker) Katz ’88 is owner of MLO Media. She and her family live in Vancouver, Washington.

Tim Hauck ’88, M.A. ’17 is a School Counselor for Stephens Middle School. His wife Tanya (Fernow) Hauck ’89 is a teacher for the Salem-Keiser School District. They make their home in Salem, Oregon.

1990s

Cherie (Moe) Kistner ’91 is a Corporate Communications Manager for Oregon Community Credit Union and lives in Springfield, Oregon.

Chris Wade ’91 is serving as the State Fire Chaplain for South Carolina State Fire Department and lives in Blythewood, South Carolina.

John Wetherington ’93 is a Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI and resides with his wife in Stafford, Virginia.

Jennifer (Easton) Joy ’94 is a minister with HIS Glory Reigns Ministries in Bend, Oregon.

Shural (Gene) Knippers ’95, J.D. is the Senior Manager in Distribution & Marketing for CSE Insurance Group. He is located in Gilbert, Arizona.

Kirk McAfee ’95 works for PaperCut Software as a License Specialist and lives in Portland, Oregon.

David Bone ’96 currently resides in Springfield, Oregon and is working as a Technician for Comcast.

Jolene (Eudaily) Sale ’96 is teaching all subjects for a 6th grade class at Peterson Elementary.

Shaney (Storoe) Starr ’96 holds the position of Executive Director at CASA of Marion County, Oregon. Her additional titles include: President at Oregon CASA Network Board of Directors, Chair at Marion County Children and Families Commission, and Board Member at Community Resource Trust.

Justin Corey ’97 has celebrated 22nd year in education at Oaklea Middle School. In his time as an educator, he has spent 15 of those years as a math teacher and 7 as an administrator. He has also coached 57 sports teams. He lives with his family in Junction City, Oregon.

Christopher Thompson ’97 is a Senior Pastor at Sonrise Baptist Church. He and his wife Holly (Brackett) Thompson ’98 live in South Jordan, Utah.

Michael Larimer ’98, MBA ’02 has retired from his position as Director of Operations at the Oregon State Hospital and lives in Salem, Oregon.

Matthew Switzer ’98 is a 6th grade teacher at Southdale Elementary School and makes his home in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Julie (Graham) Ulm ’98 is the children’s pastor at Harvest Community Church. She lives with her family in Coburg, Oregon.

2000

Laura (Henry) Schouten ’00 is a licensed massage therapist in Spokane, Washington.

Kara Freske ’01 is residing in Creswell, Oregon and working as an educator for Creswell Middle School.

Khara (Lipsey) Holborow ’01 works as a teacher for 6th grade at Joseph Lane Middle School and lives with her family in Roseburg, Oregon.

Tara (Monard) Emitu ’03 works at Redmond Elementary School in the Lake Washington School District as a 4th and 5th grade teacher in the Highly Capable Program. She lives in Redmond, Washington.

Kacie (Davis) Gerdrum ’05, M.A. ’20 completed her Master of Arts in Leadership at Bushnell University in May 2020. She and her husband Josh Gerdrum ’06 live in Springfield, Oregon with their four children.

Carina (Austin) Kunkel ’05 is a stay-at-home mom living in Clackamas, Oregon with her husband and infant twins. She is a worship leader at The Well Community Church in Portland, Oregon.

Shawna Bonnin ’06 works for at the Hockinson School District as a 3rd grade teacher and lives in Vancouver, Washington.

Matthew Shepherd ’06 works through the Banks (OR) School District as a Special Education Teacher working in both primary and secondary level.

Tracy Strimling ’06 has been staying safe at home in Eugene, Oregon, as she recovers from her battle with breast cancer. She enjoys filling her time helping her grandchildren with schoolwork through Zoom.

Anna (Howell) Bergum ’07 works part-time as a Transaction Coordinator with the Willamette Valley Real Estate Team and became a licensed Oregon broker as of January 2020. She has also responded to God’s call to serve as a gestational carrier for a family in Washington. She lives with her husband Brent Bergum ’06, a Fiber Technician for Ziply Fiber, and their three kids in McMinnville, Oregon.

Christine (Arenz) Lyman ’07 was recently promoted to Principal Marketing Specialist at Norton LifeLock. She lives with her family in Springfield, Oregon.

Peter Nelson ’08 earned a Master’s degree in Global Supply Chain Management from Portland State University in December 2019. He has since begun a job with Rena North America as a Supply Chain Manager and lives in Eugene, Oregon.

Jessica Carlson ’09 works for the Les Lilas French Bilingual Community School as their lead English Teacher. She resides in Shoreline, Washington.

Alex Ritzman ’09 is a professor in the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.

2010s

Jeramy Anderson ’10 serves in the United States Air Force as a Cyber Security Analyst and lives in San Antonio, Texas.

Brandon Gust ’10 is an Adult Protective Services Specialist for the Lane Council of Governments in Eugene, Oregon.

Timothy Poublon ’10 resides with his wife and three kids in Harrisburg, Oregon. He works in Eugene as a Senior Financial Analyst at the Eugene Water & Electric Board.

Kristen (Staley) Hutchinson ’10 is working as a Social Support Specialist in the Department of Human Service, Child Welfare and lives in Springfield, Oregon.

Erica White ’11 resides with her husband and child in Eugene, Oregon. She is currently a teacher for Cesar Chavez Elementary School.

Dustin Hinkle ’12 is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Washington State University. He and his family have returned from their season serving as missionaries in China reside in Pullman, Washington.

Chelsea (Tippit) Murkley M.A. ’12 serves as a Mental Health Therapist for Options Counseling in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Becky-Jo Samples MBA ’12 is an Account Executive and Director of Business Development at Capelli Miles. She and her husband Joshua Samples ’10, MBA ’12 live in Eugene, Oregon. Joshua is AVP, Credit Administration Officer at Oregon Pacific Bank.

Brittany (Hanania) Beick ’13, MBA ’14 is Senior Accountant LLC for JAJ Enterprises, LLC in Eugene, Oregon.

Jessica (Rocha) Singleton ’13 works as the Director at Pacific ClearVision Institute, PC in Eugene, Oregon.

Erik Carrazco ’14, M.A. ’20 has been promoted to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach role at Bushnell University and recently completed his Master of Arts in Leadership.

Rebecca Espinoza ’14 is on-call as a Pastor and a Small Group Pastor at Eastside Christian Church Redlands.

Yvonne Gattie ’14 is an instructional assistant at Bridgeway House. She and her family live in Springfield, Oregon.

Dr. LeeAnn (Fudge) Prochaska ’14 is a naturopathic physician serving the Wenatchee Valley (WA) at Alpine Valley Wellness Center.

Jason Wendland ’14 is working for the Wilkinson Corporation as a Controller.

Dr. Alek Angeli ’15 completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Pacific University (OR) in May, 2020.

Tyler Fox ’15 and Shelby (Lundquist-Adams) Fox ’15 welcomed their second baby boy into their family. Tyler is continuing dental school at the University of Utah.

Patricia Martinez ’15 has begun her third year as a Middle School Counselor for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Kallie (Gardiepy) Adkisson ’16 was recently promoted to Lead Teller at Selco Community Credit Union in Eugene, Oregon. Her husband Miles Adkisson ’16, MBA ’18 continues to serve Bushnell University as Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Director of Esports.

Dr. M. Cody Brockelmeyer MBA ’16 is a Captain for the United States Marine Corps in Granger, Indiana. He serves as Operations Officer for ROTC at the University of Notre Dame (IN) and an Assistant Professor of Naval Science.

Haley Cochell ’16, M.A. ’20 completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bushnell University in May 2020.

Dr. Madison (Seevers) Eymann ’16 is a physical therapist at Mighty Oaks Children’s Therapy Center in Salem, Oregon. Her husband Samuel Eymann ’14 is a merchandiser at Costco. They live with their daughter in Salem, Oregon.

Patrick Fritter ’16 received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and serves on active duty with the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California. His wife Parker (Bonife) Fritter ’16, MBA ’20  recently completed her MBA at Bushnell University with the Class of 2020.

Emily Helt ’16 completed her Master of Arts in Global Development and Justice at Multnomah University (OR) in May 2020.

Dr. Taylor Kraal ’16 recently completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and passed his board exams.

Hannah Roddy ’16 is attending graduate school at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington and is pursuing a master’s degree in International Community Development.

Heather Swaney M.A. ’16 is a mental health counselor at White Bird Clinic in Eugene, Oregon.

Colleen Walsh ’16 is working on a Ph.D. in developmental psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Calvin Anderson ’17 is the new Client Support Specialist at Davison Benefits Group, Inc. He and his wife Annie (Tunstill) Anderson ’18, a rental leasing agent, live in the greater Phoenix, Arizona region.

Jordan (Bain) Acree MBA ’17 resides in Roseburg, Oregon and works as a Staff Accountant for North River Boats.

Nathan DeArman MBA ’17 is working as a Recruitment Manager for Staff Management, SMX in Sparks, Nevada.

Crystal Freeman MBA ’17 is President of Willow Creek Creative, located in Harrisburg, Oregon.

Alleya Harris ’17 currently resides in Eugene, Oregon and works in reception for The Veterinary Hospital.

Madeleine (Nelson) Kraal ’17 and her husband Garrett Kraal ’18 are both in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Utah.

Emily (Sanders) Rarick ’17 is working in Eugene, Oregon as a Community Inclusion Specialist for North Star Pathways.

Peggy Wiederkehr ’17 works in Project Management for the Hawes Group in Corvallis, Oregon.

Keri (Schwarz) Green ’18, MBA ’20 recently completed her MBA at Bushnell University. Keri is the head varsity volleyball coach for Springfield (OR) High School. She and Calvin Green ’14 were married in August 2020 and live in Creswell, Oregon.

Kayla Miller ’18, M.A. ’20 completed her Master of Arts in Teaching at Bushnell University in May 2020 and is teaching in Southeast Asia.

Raegan (White) Neu ’18 was awarded Teacher of the Year at Betty Keifer Elementary School in Rathdrum, Idaho. She and her husband Cole Neu ’17 live in Post Falls, Idaho.

Christan Stewart ’19 is self-employed as a Creative Director in Eugene, Oregon.

Angie Barnhurst M.A. ’19 was recently accepted into a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision program. She is currently working with a team to design an Accessibility Ally program at the University of Oregon.

Marcia Copple MBA ’19 works at Bend Park and Recreational District as a Financial Accountant.

Kami Icenhower ’19, M.Ed. ’20 completed her Master of Education degree at Bushnell University in May 2020.
