Dr. M.Tip Phaovibul arrived at Bushnell in the Fall of 2022. His primary teaching is in the area of computer science, data analytics, and mathematics. He has a wide range of interests in the area of mathematics, but mostly in number theory. Most of his works are in the fields of Analytic, Probabilistic, Diophantine Geometry, and Elementary Number Theory, especially in properties of the Riemann Zeta function and L-Functions. He is also interested in the theory of computation complexity and algorithm for computer science. He is also passionate about math competitions and training middle/high school students to compete in the Math Olympiad. Many of his former students had represented the US, Mexico, Canada, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, etc. teams at the various international math olympiad contests.

Outside the classroom, Dr. M. Tip is very heavily involved in his church and community in the Gorge area. He currently oversees all technology, sound, light, projection, and a live stream at his church. He also does a lot of consultation/training for several other churches and faith-based organizations around the area. When he finds his free time, you will likely find him at the coffee shop reading books/playing board games, or middle of the Columbia river catching salmon.
