Dr. Allee arrived at Bushnell in 2014. He teaches a variety of courses within the Biology major and serves as the Biology Program Director. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2005 at the University of Southern Maine where he also worked as a full-time, NSF funded research assistant in Dr. David T. Champlin’s Developmental Biology lab. He completed his graduate studies in 2011 at the University of Oregon through the Institute of Molecular Biology in the lab or Dr. Eric Johnson. His research experience at the undergraduate and graduate level has equipped him with specialized training and knowledge in the areas of genetics, developmental biology, microbiology, and molecular biology.
He began teaching at the college level as an adjunct instructor in 2008 and has taught full-time since 2011. He has taught a variety of biology courses ranging from general biology to advanced courses like genetics and microbiology. While he has enjoyed participating in basic research for over a decade of his adult life, his true passion has always been teaching.
