Roger is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Administration and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is a current student at Regent University finishing his PhD in Counseling and Psychological Studies with a concentration in Trauma & Crisis Counseling. The focus of his dissertation research is related to program evaluation of behavioral health in first responder agencies to reduce post-traumatic stress and build resilience. Additional training includes Level 1 EMDR training, Phase 1 & 2 Brainspotting, and Ego States Therapy.

Roger’s interest lies in post-traumatic stress especially in the first responder community. He continues to learn current best practices in the treatment of trauma and reduction of suicide. He also works in private practice providing individual and group counseling for those recovering from past trauma experiences.
