Dr. Reed Mueller has served as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty at Bushnell University since 2022. He brings extensive experience in higher education program leadership, teaching, and faculty supervision. Prior to his current role, he served as professor and chair of the Department of Psychology at Concordia University Portland (2012–2020), and as a member of the psychology faculty at Northwestern College Iowa (2021–2022) and Bushnell University (2020–2021).
His background in consulting and research—as Vice President and founding co-owner of Pacific Research & Evaluation in Portland (1999–2013)—continues to support the success of the university’s students, staff, and faculty. Additionally, his service as Lead Pastor of Columbia Ridge Community Church in Troutdale, Oregon (1999–2013) reflects his commitment to formative work with individuals and communities.
Dr. Mueller earned a B.A. in Psychology and Biblical Studies from Hope International University (formerly Pacific Christian College) and holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Brigham Young University. He completed post-doctoral training in Medical Psychology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where he served as Chief Resident from 1996 to 1998.
