Who can use the library?
A library account is available for:
- Current Bushnell Students, Faculty, Staff, and members of the Bushnell Board of Trustees
- Bushnell Alumni
- Bushnell Faculty Emeriti
- Current Students and Employees of the University of Oregon
Bushnell University is a closed campus, therefore, if you do not fall into one of these categories, we cannot facilitate your use of the library.
Everyone in the library must abide by the Library Behavior Policy. Some library resources are available to everyone, and some are available only to current Bushnell students, faculty, and staff who have an active Bushnell account.
How is Bushnell Kellenberger Library organized?
Books are classified by the Dewey Decimal Classification system and are located on three levels of the library.
How do I access the Kellenberger Library’s catalog?
The library catalog can be accessed at bushnell.bywatersolutions.com.
How can I check out materials from the Kellenberger Library?
All current Bushnell students, staff, and faculty will automatically be added into our library system when they set up their campus network access through IT and can use their Bushnell ID to check out materials at the circulation desk.
All other patrons require a library account to be made prior to checking out materials.

How can I see what I have checked out, renew, or place a hold on library materials online?
The ability to view checkouts, renew an item, and place holds on items is available at bushnell.bywatersolutions.com. An active Bushnell or library account log in is needed to access these features. If you are unsure of your account log in, please contact the library by emailing circulation@bushnell.edu, and we will assist you.
What kind of resources are available at the library?
The library contains over 75,000 books, journals, newspapers, online research databases, and media materials, including CDs, DVDs, and media kits. The Kendall Collection includes children’s books from pre-school – high school. Special collections include Bushnell University archives, rare books and Bibles, Disciples Historical Collection, and more.
